Waiting Time Is A Perfect Time To Increase Our Capacity

Hi, now I want to share about my experience 4 years ago. I am coming to a seminar from my campus with my friend. Why I am going to that seminar? Because the guest star is special one from that period, which his name is Choky Sitohang.

Disclaimer: I don't remember exactly what he share because it's already 4 years ago. But i will make my best to share what I remember

Choky is a great presenter with a great character too. What he share that day can make me admire him. He share his story about how he start being a presenter, not how he can as famous as now. And I think the most important thing is how we start. He start while he was young, he is so skinny, not like now, he now have a good looking body, he always stutter while talking and he have a dream about being a presenter with that condition. Such a poor man, he is rejected again and again from one producer to another producer.
And after a serious struggle, finally he got a job being a reporter. He work day and night 24/7 every day without knowing what is tired means.

After work for a few month, he got sick, typhus. The doctor who check him up sentenced he to make a bed rest for another 2 month. He then became so down because the opportunity to became a famous presenter is far and far away. Then he start his days at home without doing anything, feel miserable for himself. Until one day he start to think to do something to increase his potential than being hopeless like that. After his thinking, he start to watch television, watch news and learn to speak like them, stand in front of mirror and train his body language and speech. While his body is better, he start to do physical exercise, he go to gymnastic to make his body better (not for a good shape, but to a healthy body).

Day after day he passed with training, extend his capacity, become a better man has end. Then he can go out and apply for a job. Actually I forgot what happen next :D but what I know is he now become a famous presenter, his dream has fulfilled.

The point I want to share is: If we are on a "waiting time" about something, don't be idle, just do something that make you better, don't just stop and wait. This rule work on all area, not only job. If you are still single, then don't just stop and waiting for a right person, but make yourself a better person as a couple.

Wish you all succeed!
