- Download the software "ConvertXtoDVD" at http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/
- Press button "Free Download" to download the file
- Install
- After installed, input the license-key: BLXZV-6YGW4-HFEFQ-MCMGU-KCYSH-4 (if it doesn't work, please search for the license on google, and of course make sure the version is correct). DO NOT UPDATE THE SOFTWARE!
- Open the software
- After opened, click menu "File" > "Add video file(s)"
- Select the movie you want, then click "Open"
- Loop step number 6 until the total of the size is fit for DVD (about 4.7GB)
- Click menu "Default Settings" > "General", and you will find "Working Folder", you need to specify the folder you want to save the file after it's done
- Move to tab "Chapters"
Then uncheck the "Create Chapter every" & "For titleset longer than"
- Move to tab "DVD menus"
Please select the template and uncheck "Play titles one after the other" for player didn't play the next movie after the movie is finish
- Move to tab"Encoding"
On this tab, please select the "Target size" to "DVD-5 (4300 MB)".
For "Converton priority", choose what you want. If you want to fastest encode speed, choose "Highest"
Then if we check "Two-pass encoding", encode process would be slowerDifferent 1-pass encode and 2-pass encode:
2-pass encode:
- Quality result of conversion is better
- Take time much longer than 1-pass
1-pass encode:
- Quality result is not as good as 2-pass
- The process takes a while compared with 2-pass. - Move to tab "Video Processing"
On "Video risize method", the writer use "Automatic". If we choose this option, the video would automatically added or reduce the black area at top or bottom of the video. But if we choose "Letterbox (recomended)", the black area could be added.
Then, on "Multicore Processor", the writer use 4 cores as his/her processor core, because the processor core he/she use is 4core so the progress would faster
- Move to tab "Audio"
On tab "Convert audio to format:", writer choose "MPEG, Stereo". There a choices too for "AC-3, 2 Channels" and "AC-3, 5.1 Channels". But it still better "MPEG, Stereo"
Then, on "Audio Level", writer choose "Loud (Level at 89%)". On this level, the volume produced is loud enough. Furthermore if you select 100%, it feels like watching from cinema
- Move to tab "DVD Specification"
Indonesia is a country that use PAL for the television technology. Because of that, on "Format (Video standard)" writer choose "PAL" though almost all television support PAL or NTSC
- Move to tab "Subtitle"
On "Default subtiles language", writer, choose "Bahasa Indonesia"Then, we click "Subtitle text rendering settings"
On "Font", we choose font-size "18". After that, tooltip suggestion show up that give advice for us to change the "Max length" into "63" (better if we follow the suggestion)
After it all done, click "Ok"
- Move to tab "Burning"
We can check "Burn result to DVD or as an ISO file in working folder" if we want to burn it immediately after convert process done. But if we didn't want it, we can uncheck it.
Not all DVD Player can play movie that burned with high speed or low speed burn. Because of that, we just use "4x" speed so that the DVD Player didn't have any problem when read the DVD.
Then on "Default DVD Label" writer put name "Source Code" as label on DVD that will be burned
- All settings above is not done yet. We still have to check it again for every titleset (movie) on "Tree View" window. Double click root "Sbutitle text style editor" then read the tutorial number 16 spoiler "Tab Text Rendering Settings" and "Tab Max
length" + read the information
- And for the last, press "Convert"
